Neurofeedback is biofeedback for the brain. It relies on the electroencephalogram (EEG) to observe its electrical activity in action, from moment to moment. The brain then uses this information to better regulate its own functioning. This is a gradual learning process that requires repetition. Over time, the brain learns to regulate itself optimally on a consistent basis. Neurofeedback does not address a particular diagnosis, but rather overall brain regulation. Many of our discomforts improve with better regulation, as well as peak performance.
